What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Support Specialist position at Early Education Services?
Early Education Services is looking for an individual to support our educational programming as a Behavior Support Specialist. Reporting to the Mental Health/Disability Coordinator, this person will perform on-going observations and consultation to support classrooms in the implementation of the Pyramid Model, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Child guidance, and Trauma-Informed Practices (TIP). They will also support staff professional development in the social/emotional domain, facilitating and/or coordinating trainings as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS in Early Childhood or related field. Five (5) years’ experience in an early childhood center-based program. Experience working with challenging behaviors, tracking and analyzing data, positive behavior support and working with high-risk populations. Must pass background check and pre-employment physical.
Preferred Qualifications: BA/BS or Master’s degree in Early Childhood/Child Development or related field with thirty (30) ECE credits.
