What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Early Childhood Program Assistant position at Early Childhood?
Qualifications/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED, moderate experience working with children or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Successful background check required.
Experience with young children preferred.
Ability to lift up 10 lbs on a regular basis with up to 50 pounds on occasion
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
General knowledge of practices, methods and techniques used in early childhood classroom teaching. Ability to work as part of a team. Passion for working with children.
Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty.
Specific Tasks:
Provide support by assisting with daily functions of the classroom. Facilitate play with young children. Assist with room set up/clean up, preparing of classroom materials and daily schedule. Other duties as assigned by classroom teacher or Coordinator.
This is a substitute position.
