Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning through play, exploration, and structured activities.
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, nap routines, and hygiene management.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social-emotional growth, positive behavior, and secure attachments with children.
- Monitor each child's progress and communicate regularly with parents or guardians about developmental milestones and daily activities.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized learning space.
- Use classroom management techniques to support positive behavior and address any challenges with patience and professionalism.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that support inclusive education for children with diverse needs or disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including first aid procedures, emergency protocols, and health guidelines.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in a classroom or childcare setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a warm, supportive environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with families, colleagues, and caregivers.
- Experience in daycare or preschool settings involving toddler care is desirable.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail in caregiving routines.

All candidates must be able to obtain a background clearance through MERIT and complete a 30 hour Child Care Basics training within 90 day of hire.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. This includes being able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
Salary dependent on education and experience; medical and vacation benefits available.
This is a 40 hour per week position, candidate must be available for a full time shift Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am – 5:30pm. Please respond with resume c/o really.
