Early Childhood Special Educator

We are looking for a high-energy, collaborative Early Childhood Special Educator to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you aren’t just managing a caseload—you are the architect of a child’s first educational experience. You will work within our Early Childhood Program (ECP) to ensure our learners feel seen, supported, and ready to thrive. Key Responsibilities Case Management: Lead the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students ages 3–5. Instructional Excellence: Design and deliver specialized instruction that blends seamlessly with our play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum. Collaboration: Act as a vital bridge between families, general education teachers, and related service providers (SLPs, OTs, PTs). Transitions: Support the "Part C to Part B" transition, ensuring a warm and organized hand-off for families coming from Early Intervention services. Assessment: Conduct evaluations and functional behavioral assessments to identify needs and celebrate progress. What You Bring Licensure: A valid Vermont Professional Educator License with an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education (or eligibility for one). Communication Skills: The ability to explain complex regulations to parents in a way that feels supportive and human.
