Art Teacher - .7 FTE

QUALIFICATIONS:   Must hold MA DESE license, in visual art and some teaching experience                                      

REPORTS TO:   Building Principal and Department Chair

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Teach PK and Kindergarten  art classes the ECEC 
2. Work with Fine Arts colleagues to align curriculum and lessons to established school and district objectives.
3. Knowledge of current Visual Arts Massachusetts Frameworks
4. Implement a variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives.
5. Work with classroom teachers and paraprofessionals to support the needs of all students
6. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
7. Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
8. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
9. Effectively implement school and district initiatives.
10. Effectively collaborate with department and grade level teachers and other members of the school community.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:   

1. Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations.
2. Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or superviso
