JOB DESCRIPTION
Contracted Early Childhood Mental Health Professional
Contract Terms
- Independent contractor position for approximately three hours per week during the traditional school-year calendar.
- Compensation: $100 per hour.
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in a mental health field and a minimum of one year of related professional experience.
- Current licensure or certification as a mental health professional, including Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
- Demonstrated experience working with young children and their families.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Proficiency in providing consultative support to staff and families.
- Familiarity with community-based mental health and family support resources.
- Ability to work effectively and respectfully within diverse cultural and socioeconomic contexts.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or concerns from families, directors, paraprofessionals, teachers, or developmental specialists.
- Ability to effectively present information to organizational leadership, public groups, and boards of directors.
- Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team and recognize when collaboration is required.
- Strong interpersonal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of personal computers, database programs, internet resources, and email systems.
Pay: $10,400.00 per year
