Job Summary: The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, implementing and monitoring behavior programs, and providing training and supervision to other professionals and paraprofessionals. The BCBA will work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective implementation of evidence-based behavioral interventions that improve outcomes for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments using standardized assessments and functional analysis to identify the root cause of challenging behaviors.
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on the results of assessments and evidence-based practices.
- Provide ongoing supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other paraprofessionals, including modeling and coaching on effective behavior strategies, and monitoring progress of clients’ treatment goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including educators, therapists, physicians, and other healthcare providers, to ensure coordinated care and effective communication.
- Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as needed based on ongoing data analysis.
- Provide family training and education on behavior management strategies to promote generalization of skills across settings and increase caregiver involvement in the intervention process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all client-related activities, including assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current on research and best practices in the field of applied behavior analysis.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or a related field.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a BCBA providing behavior services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct functional assessments, develop effective interventions, and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans.
- Experience supervising and providing training to other professionals and paraprofessionals in the field of applied behavior analysis.
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices in applied behavior analysis, including positive behavior support, discrete trial teaching, and natural environment teaching.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to client homes and community settings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year
