About the RoleWe’re looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative to grow our industrial steel sales across the region. This role focuses on developing new business, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
You’ll visit customers in person, analyze market trends, and work closely with internal teams to ensure we deliver top-quality products and service.
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts.
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities.
- Present and promote new products and services.
- Prepare, deliver and negotiate sales quotes, proposals, and contracts.
- Collaborate regularly with Inside Sales and other departments to support customer needs.
- Track sales activity in CRM and submit reports as required.
- Attend sales and product training to stay current in the industry.
- Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.
- 2–5 years of outside sales experience, ideally in steel, metals, or industrial markets.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
- Consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Base Salary: $60,000–$78,000 per year
- Quarterly Incentive Program: Earn an estimated $3,000–$9,000 per quarter based on performance
