JOB SUMMARY:
The Allergy & Asthma Center is excited to welcome a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to our dedicated clinical team. Our mission is to help patients live healthier, fuller lives by treating allergies, asthma, and other immunologic conditions. As part of our practice, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver evidence-based, individualized, and comprehensive care by utilizing the latest research, diagnostic tools, and treatment options.
In this role, you’ll work closely and collaboratively with a board-certified allergist to serve as a licensed nurse practitioner, managing patient health concerns and coordinating care in alignment with state and federal regulations and nursing standards of practice. You’ll see patients in the clinic for a wide range of conditions, including asthma, environmental and food allergies, drug allergy, immune disorders, and dermatologic conditions such as chronic hives, atopic dermatitis, and allergic contact dermatitis. Your responsibilities will include obtaining accurate medical histories, conducting thorough physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing effective treatment plans in collaboration with the physician.

As a mentor and role model, you will demonstrate strong leadership by guiding and supporting the clinical staff while leading by example.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic allergies, asthma, and related conditions.
- Conduct physical exams, review medical histories, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Counsel and educate patients on prevention, health management, and test results.
- Refer to specialists as needed and analyze medical records and reports.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in the EHR.
- Utilize medical software, billing tools, e-prescribing, scheduling, and telemedicine platforms.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and nursing regulations and standards of care.
- Collaborate effectively with the care team while demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Build trusted patient relationships with professionalism and exceptional bedside manner.
- Meet physical demands of the role, including extended standing/walking and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licenses in the state.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a physician practice or hospital setting within a related specialty required.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty is preferred, but not required.
- National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited agency.
- Master’s in Nursing required, Doctorate of Nursing preferred.
