What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing - A/R Specialist position at Ear, Nose & Throat Center?
We are a fast paced, team-oriented company that works very closely together in trying to maximize the billing and collections of the practice. Currently, we are looking for a full-time, experienced medical billing accounts receivable specialist for a busy, growing ENT practice with 15 physicians and 5 locations. Preferred to have at least 1 year or more of experience working in medical billing specifically with A/R on both the insurance and patient side. We do offer benefits (health, dental, retirement, holiday, PTO).
What the A/R Specialist does:
· Reviews accounts with outstanding patient and insurance balances to determine appropriate follow up action.
- Insurance accounts receivable calls
- Follow up on and appeal denied claims
- Patient A/R and collection calls
- Surgical and in office estimate calculation and collections
- Answers telephone and routes client calls
- Responds to inquiries
- Complies with all applicable laws regarding billing standards
- Other duties as assigned
What experience we require:
· One year of relative experience
· A high school diploma or equivalent
· Great communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in basic use of computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner
· Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
