The Ear, Nose & Throat Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant (CCMA, CMA, RMA), LPN (new grads welcome), or aspiring Medical/Physician Assistant student to join our fast-growing team. We are committed to providing high-quality care, and this role is essential to our mission.
As our valued ENT /Triage Medical Assistant you are our front line, interacting with patients and their families on a daily basis, and at every stage of the process. You will provide real time support to not only our patients, but also to our providers by bridging communication between hospitals, patients and internal providers both in person and on the phone. You will have the opportunity to ensure excellent and timely patient care, the key to our continued success.
Schedule
- 4-day work week: 3 clinical days and 1 triage day
(Shifts range from 9–10 hours for clinical days, and 8–10 hours for triage)
- One weekday off
- No weekend shifts
- Typical hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Medical Assistant/Triage duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure timely and efficient patient rooming and in-office care.
- Communicate directly and indirectly with the healthcare provider in order to appropriately coordinate patient care both in clinic and on the phone.
- Provide patient/family with instructions as provided by their provider.
- Communicate lab & other test results to families at the provider's direction.
- Assist with medication refills per specific protocol.
- Communicate adjustments or changes in treatment plans to families as instructed by provider.
- Assist providers during in office procedures.
- Schedule Telemedicine Appointments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience Desired:
- Certification as a CCMA, CMA or RMA with at least 1-2 years of previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Recent medical assistant, nursing grads or aspiring medical students are welcome to apply.
- Previous experience in a specialty practice is preferred, but not required. ECW and Epic software experience is helpful.

The Ear Nose & Throat Center's primary location is in Niles with an additional location in Buffalo Grove. The Medical Assistant will primarily work from our main location but travel to the Buffalo Grove office as dictated by their assigned provider's schedules (typically once per week).
Typical Physical Demands: Work may require sitting for long periods of time, extensive telephone use, and also stooping, bending, and stretching for files and supplies. Employees will occasionally be asked to lift files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Position requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, computer, telephone, calculator, copier, and such other office equipment as necessary. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. Position also requires viewing computer screens and typing for long periods of time.
