Overview
As a Hardscape Installer, you will be the driving force behind creating stunning outdoor spaces by installing various hardscape elements such as pavers, retaining walls, and decorative stone features. Your expertise will help transform client visions into reality through precise craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing your skills in building material installation, masonry, and outdoor work.
Duties
- Install hardscape features including pavers, stonework, retaining walls, and decorative elements according to detailed construction plans and schematics
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation of outdoor structures
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication tools safely and efficiently during installation processes
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, masons, and other trades to coordinate site activities and ensure project timelines are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations throughout outdoor work sites
- Assist in site preparation activities such as excavation, grading, and concrete forming for foundational elements
- Conduct quality inspections of installed materials like tile laying, concrete finishing, stucco application, and masonry work
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction installation with a focus on hardscape projects or related outdoor construction work
- Strong knowledge of building construction techniques including masonry, concrete forming, roofing, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, and plastering
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and schematics for precise execution of projects
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Bluebeam is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans accurately for various construction projects
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to outdoor construction sites and heavy equipment operation
- Experience with electrical work or plumbing is advantageous but not required
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site during remodeling or restoration projects
- Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively within a team environment
