What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Aide position at Eaman Physical Therapy?
Eaman Physical Therapy is looking for an energetic physical therapy aide (tech) to join our rapidly growing outpatient physical therapy center in Rockville/Gaithersburg or Germantown, Maryland. We have multiple physical therapy aide job openings, and the right candidate will have the option to work at any of our locations in Maryland. The physical therapy patient population comprises mostly adults with orthopedic conditions and sports injuries. Our service offerings include physical therapy, massage therapy, dry needling, and nutrition counseling. The candidate will work closely with our physical therapists.
What are we looking for?
- MUST have at least 3-month recent experience as a physical therapy aide (tech) in outpatient settings where you independently supervised patient therapeutic exercises. If you don't have the required experience, you must be willing to complete a 1-week (min. 30 hrs) training program on an unpaid basis. Alternatively, you can apply as a volunteer.
- Physical therapy aide with excellent knowledge of physical therapy therapeutic exercises and the ability to demonstrate them to patients independently.
- Physical therapy aide with excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Physical therapy aide who is a people-person with outgoing personality.
- Physical therapy aide with strong interest in pursuing a physical therapy career.
- Physical therapy aide comfortable interacting with other medical professionals.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred though not required.
What will you be doing?
- Supervise patients' physical therapy therapeutic exercises.
- Work under the supervision of the physical therapist to implement plan of care.
- Setting up the treatment space and maintaining its cleanliness.
- Perform basic clerical duties such as scheduling patients, assisting patients with paperwork, answering the phone, taking payments, checking insurance authorization and eligibility.
