About the Role:

The Standing Guard position in Sherman Oaks, CA is a critical role focused on maintaining the safety and security of designated premises, personnel, and assets. The primary objective is to deter unauthorized access, prevent potential security breaches, and respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies. This role requires constant vigilance, effective communication, and the ability to assess situations quickly to ensure a secure environment. The Standing Guard will serve as the first line of defense, providing a visible security presence that promotes a sense of safety for employees, visitors, and property. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid security guard license or certification as required by California state law.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical patrols.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security or law enforcement roles.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Familiarity with security technology such as surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and address potential security risks.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or safety hazards to the appropriate authorities.
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, or incidents as they arise.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Provide courteous assistance and information to employees, visitors, and contractors while maintaining security protocols.
