Job Type: Chemical Transport Driver (OTR - 5 to 14 days)
Eagle Transport operates terminals throughout the eastern United States, specializing in the transportation of fuel, chemical, and dry bulk products. As our team continues to expand in the Southeast, we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our newest terminal team in Delaware City, Delaware.
Chemical Drivers with Eagle Transport ensure the safe transportation of chemical products to various client locations while adhering to DOT regulations, corporate policies, and company protocols.
Job Duties

Safely deliver dispatched loads of chemical product to client locations and facilities, ensuring that all deliveries are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.

Manage all aspects of safe truck operations in accordance with DOT regulations, Eagle company policies, and safety protocols.

Accurately prepare and complete all required equipment and delivery reports.

Work closely with dispatch and other team members to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
Requirements

Be at least 23 years of age.

Have a valid Class A CDL with tanker (N) and hazmat (H) endorsement (Combination X), and the ability to operate a vehicle with air brakes.

Have a minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience with a tractor-trailer within the past 7 years.

No more than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years and no DUI/DWI/OUI within the past ten (10) years.

Have no chargeable "DOT-Recordable" accidents while driving a commercial vehicle in the past three (3) years.

Ability to read, speak, and understand the English Language
Physical Requirements

Ability to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate

The driver must be able to sit, walk, bend, push, pull, stoop, squat, and climb as necessary to ensure closure of dome lids.

Grasp, lift, and handle heavy equipment or sections of hoses to ensure safety during the hooking and dropping process of the tractor-trailer combination. This ensures the safe and proper coupling, draining, and disconnecting of hoses.
