Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage construction or renovation projects
- Provide accurate project estimates, timelines, and budgets
- Hire and supervise subcontractors (plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc.)
- Obtain necessary permits and ensure all work follows local building codes
- Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment
- Conduct on-site inspections and resolve construction issues
- Communicate progress and updates with clients
- Ensure worksite safety and enforce safety protocols
- Deliver high-quality workmanship and complete projects on schedule
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a contractor or in construction management
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and safety regulations
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to lead a team and manage multiple jobs simultaneously
- Valid contractor license (if required by state/local laws)
