Field Service Technician

An award winning 34 year old locally owned office technology integrator of state of the art hardware and software, Eagle Systems provides authorized sales & service for Toshiba, Sharp, Epson, and other high profile manufacturers.
We are seeking the addition of an entry level copier/printer repair technician attached to our Jamestown satellite location in light of the growth of environmentally sustainable printer technologies, the demand for managed print services and new company opportunities.
This ground floor position would entail on-site assessment of printer performance, determination of interventions required and subsequent responsibility to install the parts, components or software required to return the printer to optimum performance.
We are seeking candidates that have experience with mechanical, appliance or electronic repair. Knowledge of computers, networks and common software a plus. Experience repairing printers or copiers preferred but not necessary.

Duties comprise…
- On-site performance of printer diagnostics.
- Real time communication of service call status.
- Documentation of service actions.
- Requisition of parts and printer components.
- Alerting customer IT personnel to network and software issues.
- Performance of printer adjustments and cleanings.
- Identification of equipment that is no longer serviceable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- (2) two years experience repairing appliances, electronics, printers, copiers or additional area of technical repair.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Physically capable of frequent reaching, lifting and bending.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
