Eagle Star Housing is seeking dependable and compassionate individuals to join our team as Part-Time or per diem Residential Support Staff. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking for flexible, meaningful work with the chance to make a direct impact in the lives of Veterans and individuals in our Transitional Housing (shelter) Program.
We are especially looking for staff who are:
- Dependable and committed to the mission of serving the homeless
- Willing and able to work weekends and have flexible availability
- Shifts Include; 2nd and 3rd shift 4pm-Midnight, Midnight-8am)
Position Overview
As a Residential Support Staff member, you will provide direct care and support to residents, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and positive environment in the house. You will help residents develop life skills, maintain house operations, and contribute to their progress toward independent living.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment for residents.
- Assist with preparing and serving meals and ensuring common areas are well-kept.
- Process intakes and admissions when scheduled.
- Monitor resident safety and adherence to house rules.
- Communicate with residents, staff, and referral sources to support individual needs.
- Document incidents, house needs, and resident progress as required.
- Provide crisis support and problem-solving when needed.
- Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and a caring attitude at all times.
- Cover holiday shifts and other per diem hours as available (evenings, weekends, overnights).
