About Us
At Eagle’s Wings Athletics, we believe in building strong athletes and strong character. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Girls Compulsory Coach to lead our girls’ gymnastics program in Prosper, TX. This role oversees the competitive team and will have input with recreational classes, leadership, structure, and be an inspiration for both athletes and staff.
Schedule
- Part or Full-time schedule, including evenings, mornings and weekends based on training and competition needs.
- Travel required for competitions and events.
Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Development
- Help direct the Girl’s Recreational program, classes, and coaches
- Lead the competitive Girls Program at the Prosper gym, including USAG, TAAF,
- Create and oversee lesson plans, training schedules, and progression systems across all levels.
- Develop, mentor, and evaluate coaching staff to ensure consistency and excellence in instruction.
- Promote a positive, disciplined, and motivating training environment.
Team & Athlete Development
- Coach and supervise competitive team athletes at all levels, with direct involvement in the compulsory programs and build toward an optional program.
- Ensure proper skill progression, safety, and technique in line with USAG standards.
- Prepare athletes for competition, including choreography, routine construction, and conditioning programs.
- Monitor athlete development and communicate progress with athletes and parents.
Event & Competition Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage team participation in local, state, regional, and national competitions.
- Attend and support athletes at meets, serving as the lead coach representative.
- Collaborate with management on meet hosting and in-house events.
Facility & Program Standards
- Oversee gym setup, safety protocols, and proper use of equipment.
- Ensure the Prosper girls’ program aligns with Eagle’s Wings Athletics’ mission, values, and standards.
Administrative & Communication
- Work with gym management to track rosters, athlete progress, and program enrollment.
- Maintain professional communication with parents, staff, and leadership.
- Participate in staff meetings, ongoing training, and leadership development.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of gymnastics coaching experience; head coach or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of USAG Junior Olympic/Development Program, TAAF standards, and recreational gymnastics.
- Current USAG membership and Safety Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Knowledge of proper spotting techniques, skill progression, and injury prevention.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse coaching team.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Must be available evenings and weekends; competition travel required.
- Ability to pass a background check and maintain compliance with SafeSport standards.
