Store Shift Lead

Job description:

Eagle’s Store is seeking a friendly, reliable, and organized Store Shift Lead to support daily operations at our busy retail and souvenir store. This role combines cashiering, stocking, merchandising, and customer service with shift leadership responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable guiding team members, and able to keep the store running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support team members during assigned shifts.
• Help assign daily tasks and ensure responsibilities are completed efficiently.
• Open and close the store according to company procedures.
• Operate the cash register and accurately process cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
• Assist with returns and exchanges according to store policies.
• Count cash drawers and help ensure accurate cash-handling procedures.
• Greet customers warmly and resolve customer questions or concerns professionally.
• Stock merchandise and maintain organized, attractive product displays.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable sales floor and checkout area.
• Help train new employees on store procedures and customer-service standards.
• Communicate important shift updates, employee concerns, or operational issues to management.
• Support the Store Manager with smooth and efficient daily store operations.

Requirements

• Previous retail or cashier experience is required.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle cash and transactions accurately.
• Ability to stay organized and make responsible decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate merchandise.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to lead by example.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
