Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to meet hotel standards.
- Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor scrubbers, and steam cleaners efficiently and safely.
- Use appropriate chemical agents for different cleaning applications while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and handling chemicals responsibly.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, supplies inventory, and sanitation procedures to support hotel housekeeping management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of sanitation standards.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet and floor cleaning.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while understanding proper chemical handling procedures.
- Skilled in using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and industrial cleaning tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and custodial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols essential for maintaining a secure environment.
