Class A CDL Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including Belly Dumps, End Dumps, and Heavy Hauls, to deliver Freight and Equipment efficiently, safely and on time. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to all traffic regulations.

Duties

• Operate trucks for route driving, ensuring timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
• Safely handle and transport freight and equipment using Belly Dumps, End Dumps, and Heavy hauls as required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
• Utilize a forklift when necessary for loading and unloading cargo.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools is an advantage.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols while on the road.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well independently and in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
