What are the responsibilities and job description for the Container Delivery Driver - Box Truck Driver position at Eagle River Waste Services of CO LLC?
Drivers are responsible for delivering trash totes to our residential customers, they will be driving a box truck Monday through Friday (Occasional Saturdays). Driver will need to navigate driveways, alleyways, job sites and traffic filled roadways. This may also entail operating in tight environments, backing up long distances such as private driveways as well as heavy industrial and crowded city environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicle in accordance within the HBSCO LLC, Safety Rules, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act), DOT (Department of Transportation) as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
- Report any unsafe situations or service related issues to dispatch.
- Report any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage to dispatch.
- Report service problems, blocked containers, or any potential safety hazards.
- Report all containers damaged and in need of repair.
- Must attend and participate in all training and safety programs.
- Communicate with dispatch to improve route production and communicate the best way to perform your duties.
- Communicate any customer requests with dispatch.
- Complete and submit work orders and driver logs as required.
- Must follow the route as assigned by dispatch and understand the customer’s needs.
- Drives a container delivery truck along designated routes to deliver, swap, or pick up containers.
- Willingness to adapt and contribute across departments, including hands-on support in field operations when needed
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 year(s) of previous experience operating a box truck.
- Must have a valid Commercial Drivers License
- Acceptable driving record required.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history and motor vehicle record review.
Compensation:
- $24 - $27 an hour depending on experience
