Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests.
- Explain recommended repairs and maintenance options clearly, ensuring customers understand their vehicle’s needs.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders, monitor progress, and communicate updates to customers.
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, brake repairs, suspension work, and transmission diagnostics to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue.
- Prepare detailed auto estimates using service writing software; review repair orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage cash handling transactions efficiently while maintaining transparency and accountability.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster ongoing relationships for future business.
Experience
- Previous dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repair, wheel alignments, suspension work, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, transmissions, and auto body repair.
- Proven ability in upselling services and automobile sales with excellent customer service skills.
- Familiarity with auto estimating tools and service writing software is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic enhances understanding of technical aspects such as automotive repair processes and mechanical troubleshooting.
