Job Description / Responsibilities
The Class A CDL Fuel Delivery Driver will:
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) to transport and deliver fuel products to customers
- Load and unload product safely, following company procedures and all safety guidelines
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Accurately complete driver logs, delivery tickets, and other required documentation
- Follow DOT, FMCSA, and all applicable state and federal transportation regulations
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and provide excellent customer service
- Use safe driving practices in all weather and road conditions
- Ensure proper handling of fuel and adherence to hazardous materials protocols
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and management regarding route status, delays, and customer needs
- Maintain cleanliness of truck, equipment, and work area
- Participate in safety meetings, trainings, and company compliance programs
Requirements / Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must meet the following:
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must have a current Hazmat endorsement (or ability to obtain within a required timeframe)
- Must have a current Tanker endorsement
- Must meet DOT medical certification requirements (valid medical card)
- Must have a safe driving record and maintain eligibility for company insurance coverage
- Ability to safely operate fuel delivery equipment and follow all safety procedures
- Ability to lift, pull, and handle hoses/equipment (physical ability required for deliveries)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
- Good communication skills and professionalism with customers and team members
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed (including early mornings, weekends, or overtime based on business demand)
- Bilingual is a plus
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required, But a Plus)
- Prior experience delivering fuel, propane, or other petroleum products
- Familiarity with Texas roadways and local delivery routes
- Knowledge of fuel handling procedures and safety standards
Work Environment
This job may involve outdoor work in varying temperatures and weather conditions and includes the use of safety gear and adherence to strict safety protocols due to the nature of the product being delivered.
