Eagle Point School District 9 is seeking two experienced and safety-minded Bus Driver Trainers to join our Transportation Department. In this role, you will help prepare and support school bus drivers to ensure they provide safe, dependable transportation for students each day. About the Position
The Bus Driver Trainer works closely with the Transportation Supervisor to train, support, and evaluate drivers serving students on daily routes and activity trips. This position helps ensure drivers are well prepared, informed of current requirements, and equipped to provide safe and orderly transportation. Responsibilities include coordinating training activities, maintaining training records, monitoring driver readiness, and supporting compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and district expectations.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for candidates who bring strong knowledge of student transportation practices, sound judgment, and the ability to work well with others. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Oregon driver's license with CDL and required endorsements, and a minimum of three years of experience driving a school bus. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, able to maintain accurate records, and comfortable working with staff, students, and the public in a professional and positive manner. Computer experience is preferred.
Work Environment
This position requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced transportation setting. The role includes both indoor and outdoor work throughout the year and may involve physical activity, including lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and assisting in emergency situations. Candidates must also be able to meet the physical demands associated with student transportation and operate vehicles safely in a variety of conditions, including at night.

Position Title: Bus Driver Trainer - Transportation
Openings: 2 positions available
Placement: Transportation Department, Eagle Point, OR
Supervisor: Transportation Supervisor
Contract Days: 5.5-8 hours per day / 210 days per year, to begin as soon as possible
Salary Range: $21.73 - $29.87 per hour, salary placement will depend upon verified full-time experience
Includes an excellent benefits package, including 6% PERS retirement "employee contribution" paid by the District, and tuition reimbursement available
