About the Role
The Bus Driver – MKV Route is a regular classified position working 5.5 hours per day (0.6875 FTE) during the

EPSD9 welcomes both experienced drivers and those new to student transportation. If you do not already

To begin, applicants must take four written tests at the DMV to receive a CDL permit.
They will then complete between 15 and 60 hours of training with the Transportation
Department—on average, about 30 days. Once training is complete, drivers will return
to the DMV for their road test to obtain the full CDL.
The total cost for obtaining a CDL is approximately $138. The district will reimburse this full amount
after the individual has worked 60 days. Additionally, a $71.50 fingerprinting fee is required
by law and must be paid at the time of processing.
