Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a dependable and student-centered Part-Time Bus Monitor to
join our Transportation Department. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for students
during school bus transportation. Bus Monitors assist drivers and students by providing supervision, guidance, and proactive safety support.
Located in the beautiful Rogue Valley of southern Oregon, EPSD9 serves approximately 3,650 students in Eagle Point, White City,

About the Role
The Part-Time Bus Monitor will supervise and assist with students in school bus settings. This position supports other district
employees in ensuring a safe and positive transportation experience. Monitors help students load and unload safely,
support appropriate behavior, assist with special needs as necessary, and communicate concerns with transportation and school staff.
Bus Monitors are expected to be at their designated supervision areas on time and remain until all students
have exited the bus. They should be proactive in identifying and addressing potential problems, relate effectively to children
with a range of abilities, and follow all district, school, and transportation policies and handbooks. Informing teachers
and administrators of issues, injuries, or accidents is a core part of the role.
This is a part-time position with variable hours based on route schedules and student needs.
Monitors are expected to:
Be at designated areas, ready to supervise, and stay until all students are off the playground and/or bus
Understand and relate to children with special needs
Follow all District, School, and Transportation Handbooks and policies
Try to anticipate potential problems and student needs
Inform teachers and administrators of problems and accidents
Who We’re Looking For
EPSD9 seeks individuals who are dependable, compassionate, and committed to student safety.
Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and an interest in working with children of all backgrounds,
including those with special needs. You should demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly,
remain calm under pressure, and build trust with students and colleagues.
This role involves both indoor and outdoor duties year-round and may require bending, lifting, and physically assisting students.
Previous experience in educational or transportation settings is helpful but not required.
