Mobile Maintenance General Supervisor

MAIN PURPOSE: The Mobile Maintenance General Supervisor is to lead and support front-line employees in executing daily mobile maintenance mining activities safely, efficiently, and to plan. Supervisors at Eagle set the tone for safety, teamwork, and performance. Guiding, coaching, and supporting their employees to achieve results while maintaining a positive, respectful workplace. They are the visible link between leadership intent and field execution, ensuring operational excellence through care, consistency, and communication.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

• Lead by example, demonstrating commitment to safety, respect, integrity, and excellence.
• Communicate daily goals, expectations, and changes clearly to the employees.
• Encourage open communication, active involvement, and idea sharing.
• Identify hazards and act immediately to maintain a safe work environment and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment.
• Provide timely feedback, recognition, and coaching to support employee growth.
• Promote accountability and ownership for safe, high-quality work.
• Support shift handovers and ensure company communications are passed down.
• Visible and engaged in the field.
• Manage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimizes damage to the natural environment.
• Ensure all safety-related activities and daily maintenance operations are managed, controlled, and supervised in accordance with company policies and MSHA requirements, including risk assessments, pre-shift checks, line-out meetings, and incident reporting.
• Supervise and provide direction to the Mobile Maintenance planners, Mobile Maintenance Supervisors, and Mobile Maintenance Mechanics.
• Actively promote and engage in continuous improvement of Mine Maintenance processes.
• Responsible for efficient execution of all mine maintenance activities to meet the needs of the operations groups.
• Participate in the development and implementation of an asset management strategy that safely achieves production demand while maintaining and/or reducing maintenance costs.
• Maintain training records of employees in the department. Monitor training register and logging formal training as it occurs
• Manage personnel rosters for effective labor coverage.
• Ensure all incidents and accidents are reported, investigated and reviewed according to policy and procedure.
• Collaboratively work with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to meet the company objectives.
• Identify training requirements and assist training department with development of training and apprenticeship program
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 10 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience
• Journeyperson, Technical Diploma, or Engineering degree preferred
• Ability to independently make complex decisions
• Sound knowledge of maintenance, and maintenance planning of heavy mining equipment
• Good understanding of mining operations
• Ability to create and work within high performing teams

HSEC ACCOUNTABILITIES

Everyone in the workplace is responsible for his or her own safety and for the safety of their co-workers. Employees are responsible for performing all tasks in accordance with relevant HSEC Site Procedures, so as to work safely and keep the workplace safe. Eagle Mine, LLC is responsible for determining steps required to ensure health and safety of all employees, protection of the environment, and the community. Specifically, all employees must:

• Accept personal responsibility for HSEC
• Identify hazards, unsafe actions, and conditions that could result in damage to property, injury, impacts to the environment, and the community
• Obey any instruction issued to protect their own personal health and safety, and the health and safety of others, protection of the environment and the community.
• Report, as soon as practicable to their Manager any situations where HSEC requirements are not being conformed to within their work area
• Avoid endangerment to any other person through any act or omission
• Only use equipment you are trained to use and operate the equipment in a way that is safe, protects the environment and doesn’t cause undue community impacts.
• Participate in HSEC training provided to them
• Report all incidents; including but not limited to injuries, near miss, community interactions and impacts, environmental impacts, spills, unsafe work practices, etc.
