Job Description
Eagle Hill is proactively seeking Consulting Manager candidates to fill potential project roles for our U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client. These projects will provide strategic, operational, and analytical support to enable CBP offices to modernize operations, enhance workforce programs, and improve mission delivery. Applicants must be willing and able to work on client sites within the Washington, DC metro area on a daily basis or as required by the client.
Anticipated project work may include Program and Project Management, Strategic Communications, Workforce Engagement, Data Analytics, Process Optimization, Change Management or other Eagle Hill service offerings.
At Eagle Hill, Managers lead teams and projects, nurture and grow client relationships, and are responsible for successful client delivery. Managers also play a lead role in broader account or Eagle Hill initiatives and business development activities.
Specific responsibilities will vary based on project role, but may include:
- Manage project teams and play a hands-on role in developing client solutions and deliverables
- Work collaboratively with clients to develop a deep understanding of business issues, create strategies to address their problems, and work alongside clients to implement those solutions
- Develop and mentor more junior team members
- Actively lead and participate in business development
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience, including at least 2 years of experience leading teams performing project-based work
- Demonstrated experience leading the development of innovative, outcome-based solutions for clients
- Strong relationship-building skills, with demonstrated success establishing credibility and working effectively with clients and stakeholders at senior and executive levels
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, foster collaboration, and build engagement in a project-based consulting environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to tailor communications to all audience levels
- Experience developing, coaching, and mentoring more junior team members in a professional services or project-based environment
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (including Excel and PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to effectively use virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
- Technical aptitude; ability to quickly learn new technology platforms
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Ability to successfully obtain and retain a CBP Background Investigation (BI), as well as any other background investigations required to perform client work
Desired Qualifications
- Active CBP BI or have held a CBP BI within the last two years
- Data Analytics skills and experience with relevant platforms (e.g., PowerBI)
- Strategic communications experience
- Prior management consulting experience for Federal clients, focused on delivering solutions in Eagle Hill’s service lines (Organizational Performance, Talent, Change Management, Business Intelligence, and/or Technology Enablement)
- Demonstrated success in business development
Compensation: A reasonable expectation for a starting salary range is: $117–$125K. This range is based on the Washington, DC Metro area and varies based on geographic residence. Specific salary range will be based on experience, location, and the level at which an applicant is hired.

Salary : $117,000 - $125,000
