About the Role:
The Design Engineer plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by designing, developing, and optimizing tailored products that meet specific client requirements. This position involves collaborating closely with clients, sales teams, and production departments to translate custom specifications into manufacturable solutions. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with custom product engineering or manufacturing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather and analyze custom product requirements.
- Maintain organized and accurate engineering files and records within company systems.
- Design and develop custom product solutions using CAD software and engineering principles.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing.
- Provide technical support during the manufacturing process and resolve any engineering issues that arise.
- Continuously improve custom product designs based on feedback and performance data.
- Manage project timelines and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) for custom designs in support of manufacturing and
MRP requirements.
