Eagle Fern Equine Hospital is growing, and we are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and knowledgeable Client Care Representative to join our dedicated team. We are a three-doctor equine and large animal veterinary practice with a strong focus on lameness, preventive medicine, and exceptional patient care.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with horse owners and large animal clients, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands the unique needs of equine and livestock veterinary medicine.
As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming experience while helping coordinate the daily operations of our hospital and ambulatory services.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate:
- Has practical knowledge of horses and other large animals
- Has previous experience in a veterinary hospital, medical office, or similar client-service setting
- Demonstrates outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Is compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented
- Can remain calm and organized in a busy environment
- Is comfortable working with multiple phone lines, scheduling software, and electronic medical records
- Is able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Has a flexible schedule and is available to work Saturdays
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and provide exceptional customer service
- Answer multi-line phones and accurately relay messages
- Schedule appointments efficiently for multiple veterinarians
- Coordinate hospital and ambulatory veterinary services
- Maintain and update patient records
- Assist clients with billing, payments, and account questions
- Prioritize urgent and emergency calls appropriately
- Communicate effectively with doctors, technicians, and clients
- Perform reception, clerical, and record-keeping duties
- Support a positive and professional hospital environment
Minimum Qualifications
- General knowledge of equine and/or large animal veterinary care
- Recent experience in a veterinary hospital, medical office, or related customer service role
- Strong clerical and computer skills, including Microsoft Windows proficiency
- Knowledge of the local geographic area is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting
- High School Diploma or equivalent
