Eagle Feather Equipment Services is a local, family-owned, and fast-growing company servicing Colorado. We are looking for a Field Service Technician to travel to our clients’ businesses to perform maintenance, repairs, and installations of loading dock equipment and garage doors.
A successful Field Service Technician possesses exceptional technical, electrical and mechanical skills. Experience with basic hand, power, and diagnostic tools is critical to this position as is physical health and strength, in order to be able to regularly and safely lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work outside in variable weather conditions.

Field Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Install, repair and/or service commercial equipment, such as dock levelers, truck restraints, garage doors, operators, and high-speed doors with attention to detail, efficiency, safety, and cleanliness.
- Test products, equipment, and machinery and provide customer with detailed usage instructions.
- Use diagnostic tools to accurately identify and troubleshoot problems.
- Fix defective, worn-out or broken products or order the necessary replacement parts.
- Complete, track, and maintain all job related paperwork and submit in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities to provide clients with appropriate recommendations on products and services.
- Maintain technical, electrical and mechanical skills and demonstrate high-level safety practices.
- Promote and support the company's services, image and reputation.
- Interact with clients with excellent customer service and communication skills.
Field Service Technician Requirements:
- REQUIRED: 3 years' experience with commercial/residential garage door and/or loading dock equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- MUST be able to safely and comfortably perform work on a step ladder, extension ladder and scissor lift at a high elevation off the ground.
- Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the dock and door industry.
- MUST possess your own basic hand tools - power tools and safety equipment will be provided by employer.
- Be physically fit enough to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and bend frequently.
- Able to work a flexible schedule Monday-Friday with occasional weekend and out of town work.
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Able to clear a criminal background check.
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
Pay and Benefits
- Pay range is $25-$35/hr, based on work experience.
- Upon successful completion of a 90 day probationary period, employee will be eligible to begin accruing up to 80 hours of personal/vacation leave per year.
- Upon successful completion of a 90 day probationary period, employee will be eligible for employer contribution toward health, dental, and vision benefits.
- Upon successful completion of a 90 day probationary period, employee will be eligible to receive holiday pay.
- Paid sick leave begins accruing at the start of employment (1 hour for every 30 hours worked, max 48 hours per year).
- Employee will be provided a company paid cell phone, tablet, service vehicle (following the training and probationary period), and all necessary power work tools and job supplies – employee MUST possess their own basic hand tools.
