Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the facility and detect suspicious behavior.
- Control access points using security protocols and access control systems to verify authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors.
- Write detailed incident reports for any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities observed during shifts.
- Respond promptly to emergencies by following established procedures, including performing first aid, CPR, AED operation, or other emergency response actions as needed.
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to handle disputes or disturbances professionally and calmly.
- Assist with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when required for security equipment or supplies while maintaining safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is preferred.
- Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough security screenings when necessary.
- Strong understanding of physical security principles, fire safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clear incident reports and interact professionally with staff and visitors.
- Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties, including standing for extended periods and heavy lifting when required.
