Eagle Eye Produce is a premiere grower shipper with more than 30,000 acres under cultivation. We grow in multiple states in the United States as well as several locations in Mexico. Our focus is to provide our customers with a year-round supply of the products we grow. These items include several Potato varieties including organics, Onions, Watermelon and Nogales Vegetables (Tomatoes, Peppers, Squash, Cucumbers). Additionally, we own and operate several state-of-the-art production facilities across the United States. Position Summary:
As a key member of the Accounting team, the Staff Accountant plays an integral part in the analysis and recommendation of profit improvements. As the Staff Accountant, you will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

This is an on-site role at Eagle Eye Produce headquarters office in Idaho Falls, ID.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, required
  • At least three years of related experience required


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities to produce financial statements and balance sheets
  • Review and analyze department’s profit and loss
  • Prepares appropriate closing journal entries
  • Performs monthly expenses account variance analysis
  • Aid with annual budget and monitor monthly targets
  • Perform special projects by researching, coordinating, and gathering information
  • Codes invoices, reconciles accounts, and assists with the closing of monthly financials
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Expected Hours of Work:

  • This position requires approximately 40 hours per week, as needed, to meet the demands of the business and complete the responsibilities of this position


Work Environment:

  • Duties and responsibilities are performed in an office, as well as a warehouse setting
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment


Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
