Responsibilities
- Be the senior manager on a portfolio of environmental projects. Supervise and mentor project managers and junior staff, and maintain client relationships.
- Oversee site assessments, remediation design and implementation, and ongoing monitoring.
- Ensure projects and clients maintain compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Review and analyze environmental data and complete final review of technical reports and budgets.
- Stay educated on changing regulations within the industry.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and other key stakeholders. Communicate project progress, risks, and resolutions effectively.
- Provide guidance and support to junior scientist, geologist, and project staff. Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes career development.
- Prepare proposals and estimates.
- Support miscellaneous projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, with at least 5 years in a project management role, ideally within the retail petroleum/UST sector.
- Experience in leading and managing environmental site assessments (Phase I/II), and environmental remediation projects.
- Strong knowledge of petroleum-related environmental issues, including UST systems, soil and groundwater contamination, and vapor intrusion.
- Knowledge of environmental regulatory frameworks and experience navigating complex environmental compliance issues.
- Professional certifications are a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
