Role Description The Marine Hydraulic Tech is a full-time, on-site role based in Harvey, LA. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing marine hydraulic systems on vessels and heavy equipment, both in the shop and in the field. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting hydraulic issues, performing routine and corrective maintenance, replacing or rebuilding components, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. The role involves interpreting technical drawings and manuals, using diagnostic tools, preparing service reports, and communicating clearly with supervisors and customers about findings and repair plans. The Marine Hydraulic Tech will also follow all safety procedures, maintain tools and work areas, and support other team members on larger projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and hydraulic issues.
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems and mobile hydraulics in marine or industrial environments.
  • Background working with heavy equipment and related maintenance & repair tasks.
  • Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including component replacement and system testing.
  • Relevant technical training or certification in hydraulics, marine technology, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Commitment to safety practices, including adherence to company and industry safety standards.
  • Physical ability to work in marine environments, including climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces when required.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and customers.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for on-site service work as needed.
