CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Eagle Concrete, a union commercial concrete contractor for more than 50 years, is looking for a Construction Accounting Specialist to join our growing team in Batavia.

The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented with a hands-on approach and desire to work in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment.

This is an Accounting Support Role with Responsibilities including:

Payroll

• Support Payroll Manager with weekly payroll processing and monthly union contribution reporting for field staff.

Accounts Payable

• Assist with invoice coding and entry, process weekly check print run and monthly credit card statements/payments when needed.
• Coordinate annual Form 1099 preparation and filing.
• Manage Subcontractor & Supplier agreements & insurance compliance efforts.

Accounts Receivable/Project Accounting

• Provide invoice & change order processing support, coordinate lien waiver preparation and prepare mechanics lien documents when needed.

Projects

• Complete Customer financial prequalification documents.
• Provide prompt and thorough service, coordination and management to both customers and colleagues throughout the duration of awarded projects for all initiatives and efforts such as contract reviews, project setup, material and supply procurement, change orders, progress billing and project close-out tasks.

This position is in-office only (not remote or hybrid), Monday through Friday. Applicants must currently be located within a 45 minute commute of Batavia.

Skills & Experience

• 4-Year Bachelors Degree required
• 2-Years Accounting Experience required
• Organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Most importantly, must be an enthusiastic, team oriented, self-starting and dependable professional with strong management skills and a can-do attitude
