POSITION TITLE: Composite Technician
REPORTS TO: Supervisor
I. Job Description:
· Enthusiastic and energetic individual to support the manufacturing of aerospace and advanced composite products. With the responsibilities to perform a variety of composite processing techniques. This individual will support process development and full rate production requirements. Eagle Composites provides a collaborative team environment which fosters an individual’s ability to learn and develop.
II. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Fabrication of aerospace components and assemblies in accordance with drawings, specifications, and work instructions
· Operates related processing equipment, fixtures, and tools required for composite part manufacturing
· Experience with manufacturing equipment: ovens, autoclaves, material injectors, cranes, and others
· Apply technical experience with composite layup, production processes, and hardware assembly
· Work with cross-functional teams (quality, engineering, and operations)
· Participate in continuous improvement activities
· Support engineering and manufacturing leads to develop process and work instructions
· Assist and train inspectors and other associates on proper processing techniques
IV. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· High school diploma or equivalent technical education or experience
· 1-years manufacturing or composites experience in an aerospace or related field
· Ability to read, understand, and interpret work instructions and part drawings
· Experienced with the use of hand tools, sanders, files, dremels, drills, and other material processing tools
· Knowledge of precision measuring equipment
· Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
· Authorized to work in US
· Worked in a manufacturing environment under the following specification: AS9100/ISO9000 and NADCAP
· Interpersonal skills to relate to all levels of personnel in and outside the organization
· Dependable with strong work ethic
