What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Board Operator position at Eagle Communications, Inc.?
Eagle Communications in Hutchinson, KS is currently hiring a part-time board operator. This position will monitor the on-air status, commercial log and programming schedule for our local radio stations.
Primary duties will include engineering the audio broadcasts of remote sports broadcasts, including airing play-by-play coverage of Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragon Football and Basketball games, as well as Hutchinson High School Salthawk Football and Basketball games. Board operators facilitate the on-air broadcasts by controlling the live audio feed from the remote broadcast locations, and managing the airing of local commercial and other programming during the game broadcasts.
Requirements: Preferred candidates will be available for Friday nights and Saturday afternoons during football season as well as weeknights during basketball season.
Experience: Experience is a plus, but we will train for this position. While the primary position is not an on-air position, there is the potential for on-air fill-in opportunities for candidates with the necessary skillsets.
This position is open to all applicants 16 years of age and older.
Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with experience. Eligibility to participate in our company 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) upon meeting requirements.
