Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, and specialized spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle various chemical agents safely while cleaning, disinfecting surfaces, and maintaining sanitation protocols in accordance with safety procedures.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials while adhering to inventory management procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols during custodial activities, including proper chemical handling safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with light facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting to support overall building upkeep when needed.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and other custodial tools.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely in compliance with safety protocol adherence.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset to interact professionally with staff and visitors.
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or Porter roles is advantageous.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
