Description:

A growing custom-automation and systems-integration company in Michigan is hiring Senior Controls Engineers to design controls systems, collaborate across mechanical, controls, and project teams, and mentor entry-level engineers. On-site in Michigan, relocation available.

What you will do:
- Lead design, implementation, and documentation of controls systems for automated equipment
- Mentor, coach, and train entry-level Controls Engineers
- Communicate project progress across departments
- Support the quoting team with concepts, hours, and material cost
- Deliver projects within scope, timeline, and budget with minimal supervision
- Coordinate machine de-bug, power-up, and validation with the project team

What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, electrical and pneumatic design, and HMI/PLC/robotics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience mentoring or training staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Willingness to travel about 20% (domestic and international)
