Fulltime employees earn 2 Weeks Paid Time Off in your first year then earn 3 Weeks Paid Time Off starting in your second year - PLUS separate Holiday Pay and CE Pay!
The schedule for these openings vary but will, at a minimum, require Monday, Tuesday, Friday from 8 am - 6 pm. All full-time employees have a set schedule. We are closed on the weekends.
Qualified candidates will have excellent customer service skills, enjoy working with animals and people, and possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, genuine and reliable people who are able to maintain professionalism during stressful situations. Previous experience or an interest in dentistry is a plus.
Requirements/Abilities
- Vet Tech Degree: a degree in veterinary technology is preferred.
- Animal Handling: in relation to treatments, restraint techniques, vaccines, radiographs, blood draws, etc.
- Venipuncture
- Client Education: ability to discuss medications, vaccines, how to give injections, demonstrate ear cleaning/SQ fluids, etc.
- Laboratory Skills: including but not limited to running manual urinalysis, CBC/chemistry, ear cytology, mite checks, cultures
- Anesthesia: ability to calculate drug dosages, administer IV and IM medications, intubate, monitor anesthesia, safely recover patients from anesthesia
- Dentistry: ability to take dental radiographs, clean and polish teeth, and accurately probe and chart teeth
- Pharmacology Knowledge
- Minnesota Certification/Licensure: preferred but not required
