Summary
Our Virginia-based humanitarian immigration firm is seeking a dependable and experienced contract attorney to appear on our behalf for our clients at USCIS interviews in Washington State and court appearances in Seattle, WA. Our attorneys will personally work with you and make sure you have the background and documentation needed to have successful interviews and hearings. Most of our cases in removal proceedings are seeking Adjustment of Status and VAWA relief.

Responsibilities
- Appear promptly and meet our client at the designated place in court or at the USCIS office
- Review our attorney notes and documentation provided in preparation for the hearing or interview
- Provide detailed notes after the hearing or interview for our attorneys
- Provide support in an honest and professional manner to our clients during the hearing or interview
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in good standing
- Experience appearing before USCIS and/or the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), particularly in removal proceedings
- Experience with Adjustment of Status and VAWA cases strongly preferred
- Ability to appear in person in Seattle, WA and reliably meet scheduled interview and hearing times
- Excellent communication skills, both with clients and in providing follow-up notes to our attorney team
- Professional, compassionate demeanor when working with clients, many of whom have experienced abuse or trauma
- Ability to provide a flat rate per appearance; hourly rates will be considered but flat rate is strongly preferred given the unpredictable length of hearings and interviews.
