Role Description The Toddler Teacher is a full-time, on-site role located in Greensburg, PA. This position is responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities that support toddlers’ social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Day-to-day tasks include creating a safe and engaging classroom environment, guiding play-based learning, maintaining consistent routines, and monitoring each child’s progress. The Toddler Teacher will communicate regularly with families, collaborate with other staff members, follow center policies, and support licensing and quality standards. Additional responsibilities include maintaining classroom cleanliness, documenting observations, and participating in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in early childhood Education and understanding of toddler development.
- Demonstrated Teaching and classroom management skills with toddlers or young children.
- Experience with Lesson Planning and designing age-appropriate, play-based activities.
- Effective Communication skills for collaboration with colleagues and partnership with families.
- Ability to provide Training support to assistants or peers and participate in professional development.
- Preferred: CDA, associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Current clearances and ability to meet state childcare licensing requirements.
- Reliability, patience, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to inclusive, child-centered care.
