Are you passionate about supporting the Behavioral Health & Justice Involved Population and making a real difference in their lives? EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Clinical Coordinator to join the Bronx Community Re-Entry Assistance Network (CRAN) Program.

 

  • Salary: $70,000-75,000 per year
  • Schedule: Monday- Friday9AM-5PM
  • Location: 1020 Grand Concourse- North Professional Wing Bronx, NY 10451

 

What drives the core purpose of this job:

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for providing clinical support to the Case Managers of the CRAN program.

 

What are the key Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the Clinical Director to provide clinical leadership and support to the Assistance Network Services and Community Transitional Case Management teams.
  2. Oversee clinical documentation in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Coordinator and Directors.
  3. Determine client eligibility and screen cases for more comprehensive assessments (psychological testing and/or risk assessment) in collaboration with the Clinical Director.
  4. Utilize the educational training, skills and experience obtained from advanced degree to provide appropriate professional services, techniques and strategies for clients.
  5. Customarily and regularly exercise discretionary powers.
  6. Review intake assessments, conduct re-assessments and provide treatment recommendations.
  7. Be the primary point of contact and collaborate with Rikers Social Work Staff, Court, the Office of the District Attorney, the Defense Bar and all other involved criminal justice agencies.
  8. Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  9. Assist the Clinical Director in supervision of the trainees and interns.
  10. Interface with treatment providers in the community.
  11. Conduct clinical rounds and in-service trainings on an on-going basis.
  12. Perform all other duties as determined by Supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration.

 

What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:

  1. Master’s Degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or Social Work required and a minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with mental illness required.
  2. Supervisory experience preferred.
  3. Excellent communication and organization skills.
  4. Must be proficient in computer applications and other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
  5. Knowledge of treatment programs and the criminal justice system required.
