EAC Consulting, Inc. (EAC) is looking for a Scheduler to join our Miami team, this position requires working from an office at a client site.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of schedule preparation and maintenance for engineering projects.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Project software.
- Knowledge of Primavera 6
- Skills - good communication skills, verbal and written.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, conditional formatting, complex formulas, etc.
- Able to exercise independent judgment in planning work details.
- Able to make technical decisions related to the office aspects of the project.
- Able to plan tasks and implement action items.
- Able to effectively work independently and within a team.
- Able to exhibit a professional demeanor and attitude when interacting with colleagues and clients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Works under close supervision; receives specific and detailed instruction as to required tasks and results expected.
- Prepares and reviews Critical Path Method (CPM) baseline and updates schedules.
- Reviews CPM schedules prepared by contractors for contractual compliance and constructability.
- Prepares Program summary level schedules.
- Maintains Program Schedule.
- Updates monthly schedule narrative with status of each project.
- Updates and maintains several monthly reports from schedule.
- Uploads schedule update files to Sharepoint and keeps information current.
- Attends meetings to maintain familiarity with progress of all projects.
- Participates in schedule validation process with Project Managers and Construction Managers.
- Supports all staff and managers by providing various schedule reports upon request.
- Develops Pivot tables in Excel to summarize schedule information for Project Management/Construction Management purposes.
- Forecasts potential schedule issues.
EXPERIENCE:
- Typically five (5) years’ related experience required.
- P6 experience required
- Previous experience on major transportation facilities projects preferred
- Estimating experience preferred.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
