What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior MS SQL DBA position at EA Team, Inc.?
• Senior level Microsoft SQL Server DBA with experience in large and critical environments.
• Knowledge of performance tuning at both server level and query level. Candidate must have knowledge of perfmon, SQL Server dynamic management views.
• Knowledge of SQL server internals.
• Knowledge of SQL partitioning and compression
• Hands-on experience on mirroring, replication and Always ON
• Must have automation experience. Good knowledge of scripting. Ability to write T-Sql scripts, Power Shell or Python.
• Excellent knowledge of SSIS packages.
• Hands-on experience on SQL Server Clustering.
• Hands-on experience on Integration Services, Reporting services and Analysis services
• Must have good knowledge in SQL Server permission/security policies
• At least 6 months experience with AWS Cloud RDS
Good to have skills
• MySQL knowledge / experience.
• Linux Knowledge
• Experience with SnowFlake
Certifications Desired
• MS certifications on MSSQL latest versions.
• AWS Certifications
- Ability to integrate data between SQL databases and NON-SQL dstabases to SQL databases
- Ability to think about a problem, identify what we have and implement solutions to solve the problem independently
- Work with onsite client team / Application owners in US / UK to Migrate Applications, Database building and Decommissioning
- Ability to take lead on some projects and works as part of a team (follow another leader on others)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think in and out of the box. Come up with service improvement ideas and innovative solutions.
- Self-motivated, conscientious, dedicated individual who works equally well independently or as a member of a team
- Must be willing to take responsibility and ownership instead of waiting to be assigned work
- The candidate must be willing to provide On-call and weekend support for SQL and MYSQL, the support is rotated among DBA''s in US, UK and India
- Enable and support the team in resolving day-to-day production issues, application upgrades and patches, performance analysis, disaster recovery implementation, capacity planning and other activities as may be necessary.
- Work on Change implementations during UK, US business hours & weekends as per change management process
- Documentation & Operational performance reporting
