Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Geologist with hands-on experience in 3D subsurface modeling using C-Tech’s Earth Volumetric Studio (EVS). The ideal candidate will support environmental investigations and remedial design efforts by building geologically sound and spatially accurate 3D visualizations. This is a hybrid position that can report to our Albuquerque, NM, Denver, CO, or Hunt Valley, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality 3D geologic models and visualizations using EVS.
• Translate lithologic, geophysical, and environmental data into interpretable subsurface models.
• Apply geologic principles to define stratigraphy, grain-size distributions, and aquifer characteristics.
• Interface with hydrogeologists, ESS practitioners, and groundwater modelers to align 3D models with site-specific hydrogeologic frameworks.
• Assist in data integration across platforms including GIS and flow models.
• Contribute to CERCLA investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial design via subsurface modeling.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver technical solutions and project insights.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Geology or Geological Engineering
• 5 years of applied experience in geological modeling and environmental investigations.
• Proven expertise in EVS software and cross-platform data integration (e.g., GIS, MODFLOW).
• Strong understanding of hydrogeologic principles, grain-size analysis, and lithologic classification.
• Excellent technical writing, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable to dynamic project needs.

• PG, PE, or relevant certification

Pay Range

$90,000—$130,000 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
