We are seeking an IT Systems & Security Administrator to support and maintain the core IT infrastructure for a global, mission-driven organization. This hands-on role is responsible for managing and supporting endpoints, user identity, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity tooling across a mixed environment of Windows and Apple devices, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365. The ideal candidate brings broad technical knowledge, a service-oriented mindset, and a proactive approach to IT operations and risk mitigation.
***Support the daily IT operations of our organization, serving approximately 600 users.
Helpdesk & Operational Support
- Resolve escalated Tier 2 and Tier 3 support requests involving hardware, software, and cloud systems.
- Support end users across Windows and Apple desktop/laptop environments, printers, and mobile devices.
- Maintain IT documentation, troubleshooting guides, and system configuration records.
- Participate in IT asset, change, and incident management processes using platforms like Jira, Freshservice, or ServiceNow.
- Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., intelligent chatbots, automated knowledge base suggestions) to improve ticket resolution times and user self-service.
- Implement automations in ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Freshservice, ServiceNow) to route, categorize, and escalate support issues.
Systems Administration
- Administer and support Google Workspace, including user lifecycle, groups, permissions, and security configurations.
- Maintain and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid identity integrations.
- Perform ongoing maintenance and monitoring of servers, SaaS platforms, and critical infrastructure.
- Deploy and maintain AI-enhanced monitoring and alerting tools for servers, cloud platforms, and network infrastructure to proactively detect issues.
- Automate repetitive administrative tasks such as account provisioning, license management, and storage monitoring.
Endpoint & Device Management
- Implement and manage endpoint management solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, JAMF, or Kandji) for Windows and macOS devices.
- Enforce security policies related to encryption, patch management, app compliance, and remote management.
- Maintain inventory and lifecycle tracking of all user devices and related hardware.
- Utilize AI-driven endpoint management solutions to predict failures, optimize performance, and automate compliance enforcement.
- Implement automated patch management and remediation workflows across Windows and macOS fleets.
Identity & Access Management
- Manage user identities and access across cloud and on-prem systems using Azure AD / Entra ID, Okta, or equivalent IAM platforms.
- Maintain access controls, role-based permissions, and automation for onboarding/offboarding workflows.
- Support integration of identity across core systems like Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, and SaaS tools.
- Design AI/automation workflows for onboarding, offboarding, and access reviews to reduce manual effort and human error.
- Employ anomaly detection powered by AI to identify suspicious identity or access patterns.
Security & Threat Protection
- Deploy and administer AV/EDR/XDR tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne) across all endpoints.
- Monitor alerts, investigate incidents, and escalate security issues per organizational protocols.
- Collaborate on compliance, policy documentation, and internal audits.
- Support phishing prevention, MFA adoption, and end-user cybersecurity awareness initiatives.
- Implement AI-driven SIEM/SOAR platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk) to automate incident detection, triage, and response.
- Evaluate emerging AI-enabled cybersecurity tools and balance their adoption with compliance, privacy, and ethical considerations.
Required Competencies:
- 3–5 years of experience in a hands-on IT administrator or technical operations role.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, group policy, DNS/DHCP, and hybrid identity models.
- Experience managing Windows and macOS endpoints in an organizational environment.
- Experience with endpoint management solutions and AV/EDR/XDR security tools.
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) platforms and security principles.
- Solid troubleshooting skills and experience with helpdesk escalation processes.
- Demonstrated success in implementing AI/automation in IT operations (e.g., ticketing, security, or endpoint workflows).
- Familiarity with AI-driven productivity platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Open AI, or equivalent.

Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with Salesforce user and permission support.
- Familiarity with IT asset management, documentation best practices, and security compliance frameworks.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security , Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Google Workspace Administrator, or similar.
- Provide light administration for Salesforce, including user access, field creation, and permission sets.
- Contribute to evaluation and deployment of new tools or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with RPA/low-code automation (Power Automate, Zapier, Make, or Workato)
- Knowledge of AI-based cybersecurity solutions such as CrowdStrike Falcon Insight or Microsoft Defender with Copilot integrations.
- Track record of leading automation projects that improved service delivery or reduced administrative overhead.
